This is the best time of year. Simple as that. Conference tournaments are heating up as teams are playing for their league championships as well as trying to prove their worth to the selection committee (whether trying to boost their seed in march madness or just make the big dance).

Auburn just lost to Tennessee in the semi-final of the SEC tournament. Tennessee will now face the winner of Alabama and Florida in the finals. Folks… this conference is absolutely loaded. Those 4 teams are all ranked top 6 in the nation and they come from the same league. They played each other all year long and have all been battle tested against the best. If I was a betting man, I would really like one of these 4 teams to win the national championship this year. With Auburn losing it makes things very interesting as to who will get 1 and 2 seeds in the big dance. If Tennessee wins the SEC is it enough to propel them to a #1? I doubt it, but they just showed they can beat anyone. Their defense is absolutely swarming and they also have my favourite college player (Zakai Zeigler) who is an outstanding senior point guard.

Wisconsin took down the BIG 10 #1 seed, Michigan State, already today as well. This definitely boosts their seeding in the big dance. They’ve been playing some great ball lately after beating UCLA handedly yesterday as well.
